Closing plenary
Information
HCWH’s Founder and President Gary Cohen will be joining us as the moderator for this lively closing plenary session of CleanMed Europe 2021 Online, which will revisit a number of key topics covered during the conference under its overarching theme of Designing Tomorrow’s Healthcare. Our expert panel will bring a range of fresh and innovative insights to the discussion, exploring three different areas that we believe could shape the healthcare sustainability agenda in Europe in the near future.
Fiona Daly will be joining us from NHS England and NHS Improvement to present the new NHS Net Zero Carbon Building Standard, for which she is the Senior Responsible Officer. The standard is a world-first, developed as part of NHS England’s commitment to become the first net zero health service, and will be applied across 40 new-build hospitals to be built as part of the government’s Health Infrastructure Plan.
Daniel Eriksson, Founder of the Nordic Centre for Sustainable Healthcare (NCSH), will be introducing us to Grønnköpingkið – the world's greenest hospital – which was launched in September 2021 to showcase solutions for greener healthcare. Grønnköpingkið is a fictitious city with a fictitious hospital showcasing best practice solutions already implemented in different Nordic hospitals and demonstrating the diversity of solutions that exist today and that could make a significant contribution to global sustainable healthcare.
