Roundtable: Shared solutions for supply chain decarbonization
Information
This roundtable will bring together health systems and vendors for a dynamic discussion on supply chain decarbonization.
- Learn about ongoing efforts at Health Care Without Harm and beyond for tackling decarbonization of the health care value chain.
- Identify shared and unique barriers experienced by health systems and vendors around decarbonization.
- Discuss actionable solutions for realizing supply chain decarbonization.
The U.S. health care sector is powered by a complex supply network that accounts for around 50% of the sector’s total emissions, so decarbonizing the health care value chain is an urgent, necessary step toward reducing emissions and harm.
This roundtable session builds on previous conversations convened on behalf of the Health Care Climate Council by Kaiser Permanente and Health Care Without Harm, during which invited health systems and suppliers shared best practices, discussed challenges, and explored opportunities for supply chain decarbonization. This session will bring together a wide range of suppliers and health systems to discuss current initiatives across the sector and share solutions for addressing supply chain emissions. Leave this session with an actionable work plan template to take back to your organization and use for system-supplier collaboration to reduce emissions.
