Information
The dairy industry was hit by some major shocks in 2020.
First, came the economic collapse from measures implemented to hold the COVID-19 pandemic. This coincided with a sudden decrease in the demand for dairy due to the closure of food sector services. And finally, the implementation of the trade agreement between Canada, U.S. and Mexico.
In this presentation, Sébastien Pouliot, FCC Principal Agricultural Economist will review these events, explain their impacts and changes and share where Canadian dairy is heading.
