Université de Moncton (UMoncton) is the largest French-language Canadian university outside Quebec.

UMoncton has developed and consolidated a recognized expertise in establishing regional and international artificial intelligence (AI) collaborative research initiatives. Building on more than ten (10) years of AI research activities, UMoncton has experienced sustained growth in its applied and multisectoral AI initiatives, with a strong emphasis on directly supporting SMEs in the assessment, adoption, and integration of AI solutions tailored to their business realities. 

UMoncton relies on a strong research ecosystem with a specific expertise in AI, supported by 3 laboratories, 3 research groups, 1 center, 1 training hub, and 1 AI Research Chair.  This strength is driven by 15 professor-researchers whose work applies AI across a wide range of fields. This capacity makes it possible to mobilize multidisciplinary expertise in generative AI, deep learning, and deep neural networks for the direct benefit of SMEs. Companies supported in this way gain access to cutting-edge expertise that is typically difficult to access at the SME level.
