IVADO

IVADO is an interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral research, training and knowledge mobilization consortium whose mission is to develop and promote a robust, reasoning and responsible AI (R3AI). Led by Université de Montréal with four university partners (Polytechnique Montréal, HEC Montréal, Université Laval and McGill University), IVADO brings together research centres, government bodies and industry members to co-build ambitious cross-sectoral initiatives with the goal of fostering a paradigm shift for AI and its adoption.

Thanks to its unique positioning, IVADO has generated over $180M in value since its creation in 2016 through collaborative research projects involving more than 350 researchers from 38 universities and research institutions and over 325 different companies. IVADO has also contributed over $44M in scholarships and research grants. All of these initiatives aim to transform scientific discoveries into concrete, innovative applications, economic opportunities, and benefits for society.
