S6: The Future for Diagnosis of Neurodegenerative Diseases

Monday, April 26, 2027 at 3:20 PM to 5:00 PM · 1 hr. 40 min. (Europe/London)

Information

This session will explore the future of diagnosis in neurodegenerative disease, examining how advances in biomarkers, across a range of modalities, are reshaping the way we think about these conditions, as we gain the tools to detect them earlier and more accurately.

This session will host talks from researchers, to show how the diagnosis landscape is changing as more diagnostic biomarkers are being uncovered. We will also hold a debate, arguing the case for different diagnostic measures. We hope the debate will glean insight into the different methods used for diagnosis, and their clinical value.

Overall, the session will inform delegates of how diagnostic innovation is changing neurodegenerative disease research and clinical practice. It will offer a forward-looking perspective on what we might see in the near future, as we strive for earlier, accessible and scalable diagnosis.
