BUILT IN SERVICE On Line Back Up
ALL UK BASED DENTAL PRACTICES ARE EXPECTED TO HAVE AN ‘OFF-SITE’ DATABASE AS PART OF YOUR DISASTER RECOVERY PROCEDURE
BACK UP
It is imperative that your dental practice has ‘off-site’ back-ups as part of your data
recovery plan. You can set the time of day for the back-up to commence e.g. at close of
business hours, or whatever time suits your business. Our service can cover your
database data, documents and radiography images.
The back-up process is managed automatically by Systems for Dentists and we are
alerted to any issues with the back-up process. This function provides complete peace of mind for our customers. The cost of the service depends on the size of the data to be
stored, a breakdown of these costs can be found in our price list.
EXTERNAL HARD RIVES
Some dental practices opt to physically rotate external hard-drives for an on-site back up, as well as using Systems for Dentists on-line back-up system. This is a ‘belt and
braces’ approach.
You need not back-up everything on-line, you could, for example, back-up your database using our system and everything else on your drives.
