Founded in 1995 by acclaimed choreographer Neil Ieremia ONZM, Black Grace is New Zealand’s leading contemporary dance company. Drawing from his Samoan and NZ roots to create innovative dance works that reach across social, cultural and generational barriers, Neil has changed the face of contemporary dance in NZ and turned Black Grace into one of the most recognisable and iconic cultural brands. For over 3 decades the company has built an extensive international reputation, across North America, Europe, Asia and the Pacific. Highlights include multiple sold-out seasons at Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and NYC's 42nd St amongst others.
