Creation Creation

Creation Creation is a show that attempts to understand life’s biggest mysteries, as asked and answered by real people from all walks of life. Documentary theatre artist, Roslyn Oades interviewed over 50 people, from the ages of 8–102, and asked them, ‘what big mystery would you like an answer to?’. From there, an audio script was developed. The result is a big-hearted explosion of ideas, sourced directly from the community. Some questions include ‘what happens in the afterlife?’, ‘is it possible to lick your elbow?’, ‘what does dying feel like?’ and ‘what’s inside black holes?’. Audiences hear the question, followed by the answer from an expert (or non-expert in some cases). Two actors on stage then act out the answer through mime, dance, puppetry, clay-making, animation and more. As audiences grapple with these unanswerable questions, they’ll laugh, they’ll cry and be deeply moved.
