LEGENDS (of the Golden Arches) is a bold and imaginative exploration of heritage, mythology, and belonging. Co-created and performed by Merlynn Tong and Joe Paradise Lui, the show begins at a traditional Chinese funeral where two friends come together to honour their grandfathers. While Merlynn seeks to remember the rites and rituals, Joe is frustrated by the traditions—until the Lords of the Underworld pull them beyond the graveside and into the afterlife. A wildly imaginative theatre work, with a bold aesthetic, immersive audiovisual, and dynamic storytelling it feels like a work of scale, delivered by a team of six.
