An ecological track system which is sustainable in three ways – socially, environmentally and economically. This cost effective solution uses ballasted track, enabling it to provide a natural appearance in an urban environment. Moreover, due to the encapsulation of the rail, primary airborne emission noise is reduced significantly. This is a flexible track than can be molded to the project’s requirements. STRAILastic_R can be configured to enable crossing of emergency vehicles. Naturally, STRAILastic_R is stray current insulating and UV and ozone resistant. Providing easy maintenance access to rails and fastenings. The basic component for our rubber product range comprises 70% recycled secondary raw materials where the hot vulcanisation production process permanently bonds the surface of virgin rubber with the recycled rubber and mineral compound. This results in precisely moulded, electrically isolated, durable, wear-resistant, fire and UV ozone resistant elements. Furthermore the products can be fully recycled at the end of their service life and repurposed. This has allowed STRAILastic to attain certification for our energy and environmental management system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 50001 and DIN EN ISO 14001.
