There is great power that lies within civic engagement and participation. Where the current systems in place do not meet the needs of the community, new allies must be approached to tackle and prevent social injustice. The panel will discuss their community approaches when working to combat human trafficking, corruption and crime. We will learn about their practices in engaging typical and atypical stakeholders to bring allies to their causes while empowering the community to take action. 

Ioana Bauer identifies, mobilizes and enables the unobvious social actors to weave a resilient social network of empowered citizens to stop modern slavery.

Arturo is creating a movement of active, engaged citizens and more accountable governments by making civic participation easier and more accessible through the use of humor and technology.

James is generating new social fabric for a caring society in communities with high instances of crime.
