Arts Market

Information

This is a process-based project made over time that builds community interest, engagement, participation, and culminates in a high-quality show that embraces new audiences and could potentially tour as a show or a process model. The Yirrkala Project is Indigenous led and employs local artists on a professional basis while celebrating indigenous skills like parkour, tricking (acrobatics), dance, and music. Yirrkala Project is being made in collaboration with lead Indigenous artist Rachel Wallis (MIKU Performing Arts), local artists Banula Marika, Dubs Yunupingu, and Sydney based artists Lee Wilson and Mirabelle Wouters (Branch Nebula).
