I Hide in Bathrooms is a performance work by renowned multidisciplinary performer Astrid Pill, with collaborators Ingrid Voorendt, Zoe Barry & Jason Sweeney. It is an absurd, darkly funny meditation on mortality & romantic relationships, holding two things simultaneously-the beautiful experience of love and the terrible experience of loss. Blending fiction, autobiography, fact & fantasy, it explores intimacy & personal identity through text, film, dance, music, song & incredible atmospheric design. I Hide in Bathrooms reflects on losing a partner, falling for someone whose partner has died, traversing a relationship while dying & connections with friends, family & community. Moving between these viewpoints, a woman addresses her delusions, sense of mortality & capacity for hope.
