Dalegada (Mutti Mutti - long ago) is a journey of songs & stories from Kutcha's past to the present. Kutcha believes music found him, saved him & enabled him to share the truths & history of his people.
Each song has found Kutcha at a profound moment in time & the spirits within the songs begin to weave into the story of Kutcha's remarkable life. As a survivor of the Stolen Generations the flow of his river was changed & so was the course of his life, however, through trauma Kutcha has triumphed.
Dalegada is Kutcha's invitation to come together around the campfire to share songs & cheeky yarns. He invites the audience into a two-way conversation reflecting his experiences & understanding of the world we live.
Kutcha's voice is like a life force & Dalegada is a guide through songs of justice, heritage, & forgiveness. Kutcha's band supports him through soul-infused roots & deep Bidgee Blu's & together the mesmeric Waripa (ceremony) of Dalegada creates life-changing connections.

Kutcha Edwards, proud Mutti Mutti, Yorta Yorta, Nari Nari Songman, is a storyteller through the voice & art of music. As one of Australia's most respected artists, Kutcha captures the hearts & minds of audiences with his soulful melodies, powerful lyrics & soaring vocals. Through beautiful songs & remarkable stories Kutcha fuses his lived experiences, cultural activism & deep community connections. Singing of his knowledge & the truth telling of his journey as a survivor of the Stolen Generations is transformative.
Kutcha performs & works within multiple genres. While creating 5 outstanding solo albums, he has written & toured several ground breaking theatre shows themed around truth, justice & resilience & has produced 2 seasons of the television show 'Kutcha's Koorioke" (NITV).
As a multi award winning singer/songwriter, Kutcha always remains humble to what is important to him - his family & his people. As a leader for Indigenous rights & a voice for social change, Kutcha's work is profound & prolific. He believes music chose him & he shares his Songline to create connections across cultures, generations & spaces.

Previous Seasons
Dalegada was conceptualised as a show to tour alongside the launch of Kutcha's retrospective album (due out in 2026) of the same name. The show initially has a short run when performed at Cardinia Cultural Centre & Berninneit Cultural Centre, Phillip Island. Kutcha was subsequently invited to open Showcase Victoria 2025 with an exert of the Dalegada show. Regional Victoria touring will be programmed for 2026.
