Charcoalblue was established in the heart of the UK theatre industry in 2004. Since then, we have carved out a reputation as the world's leading integrated Theatre, Acoustic and Experience Consultancy service. We now operate as a cohesive and collaborative team across six international studios in the UK, USA and Australia, delivering projects to every corner of the globe.

We’re a collective of designers, strategists, musicians, acousticians, developers, creatives and technologists. We all share a love of performance, a belief the show must go on, and a desire to do great work.

We believe the best work comes from a culture of collaboration. We bring talented people together, build long-term relationships and share ideas, so we can create the best possible spaces for you.

Charcoalblue was founded from a desire to do things differently, to challenge norms and build a new approach to collaborative relationships. Common ownership, equity, diversity and a shared vision for the future were critical ideas for our foundation.

Through outreach, sponsorship and volunteering we contribute a portion of our time, skills and profit to support the theatre industry. We work with causes and organisations who share our vision to make theatre - and, by extension, the wider world - a better place.
