Monsteen

Monsteen, is an immersive theatrical experience that invites its young audience (11 to 16 years) to become a teenager in a state of supernatural flux. Inspired by teen drama tropes (Heartbreak High, Twilight, Buffy etc.) These monstrous teenagers struggle to figure out their peers, parents and themselves as they slowly come to terms with the monster within. Players (the entire audience) are guided to create their own characters simultaneously playing the role of audience member, player and protagonist. They also participate in collective world building guided by young performers from Infinity. Using monsters and their associated supernatural mythology (vampires, werewolves, witches, sirens, ghosts, etc) Monsteen is about finding our way as freaks, misfits and outsiders in a world filled with mainstream values and repressive norms.
