Information

Kite Choir: A Global Sky Symphony is a large-scale participatory public artwork and global peace project where hundreds of kites play a choral sound composition made from children’s voices gathered locally and worldwide. Set in parks, beaches, and public spaces, the work invites audiences to slow down, look up, and listen together. Children record their voices in their own language, including sung phrases and whispered wishes for the world, woven into a living choral soundscape held in harmony. Shaped by wind and movement, the work becomes a powerful metaphor for unity, cooperation, and collective care, and a reminder of the importance of listening to young people. Kite Choir can be presented as a free all-ages public artwork, a ticketed experience, an opening or closing festival centrepiece as a kite concert featuring local musicians or choirs.
