Project Pitch

UPIDA is an Angolan Agrotech startup that develops and locally manufactures smart agricultural greenhouses adapted to Angola’s climate and farmers’ needs. The solution integrates automated ventilation and temperature control, shading systems, efficient irrigation, environmental sensors, and optional solar energy integration. These features allow year-round production, reduce agricultural losses by up to 30–60%, and significantly increase crop productivity.

The business model is based on the sale of greenhouse units, combined with recurring revenue from preventive maintenance contracts and continuous technical support. Additional revenue is generated through technical upgrades and system improvements.

Operationally, the company focuses on local manufacturing in Angola using galvanized metal structures and UV-protected plastic coverings. Services include technical installation, farmer training, standardized preventive maintenance plans, and continuous post-sale technical support.

UPIDA operates with a multidisciplinary team capable of delivering and scaling the technology while supporting farmers in transitioning to more resilient and productive agricultural systems.
