Customers in Europe expect speedy, reliable, and sustainable logistics for every item they order on Amazon. By shifting logistics routes to sea or rail, instead of via road by trucks, we can significantly reduce our carbon footprint, while helping to make Europe competitive and sustainable. In 2023, Amazon expanded its use of rail and sea transportation by 50%, now operating across more than 100 rail lanes and 300 sea routes throughout Europe. To further accelerate, EU policy frameworks must however address significant existing barriers.

This top level panel discussion will examine how EU regulations can accelerate the adoption of intermodal transport, helping Europe expand a competitive logistics sector while achieving its ambitious climate targets and Amazon's Climate Pledge, our ambitious commitment to reach net-zero carbon across our global operations by 2040. Learn how logistics leaders create efficient, sustainable supply chains and hear from policymakers how regulation can enable this shift.
