Company Overview:
RQ Construction, LLC (RQ) is a full-service integrated A/E and construction company specializing in design build projects, serving the Department of Defense (DoD) as our prominent customer since 1996. During that time, we have had the opportunity to deliver over 225 contracts on Bases and Installations across the Nation. RQ is headquartered in Carlsbad, California, with regional offices in Virginia Beach, VA, Camp Lejeune, NC, Jacksonville, FL, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. It is our mission to provide our customers the best built environment while being the first choice of all stakeholders. Through effective communication and continuous learning and improvement, RQ’s comprehensive design-build approach takes a proactive role in both design and construction processes to ensure compliance, quality, schedule, safety, and budget.
Experience with DoD:
RQ has an outstanding working history with the DoD. Collectively, we have successfully delivered administrative/headquarters/operations facilities, maintenance facilities, hangars/aviation facilities, lodging facilities, training and educational facilities, medical facilities, renovation/expansion projects, utility projects, multi-facility campus projects, and more. RQ’s integrated design-build team is adept at a variety of scopes of work and can meet all RFP criteria, including application of the most up-to-date UFCs and standards such as NFPA, ASHRAE, and ASNI. Furthermore, RQ maintains an estimating and proposal staff familiar with DoD RFPs, safety and quality control personnel who understand DoD requirements, on-site project management who are experienced working with ROICC and DoD personnel, and self-perform trade crews to ensure productivity and cost efficiency.

As a successful large business, RQ has made strides to ensure an increase in the utilization of small businesses, encouraging the growth and development of the subcontracting community. RQ is committed to setting high yet attainable goals, hosting outreach events in local and remote project communities, and setting a high standard for small business execution on every project.
