The AI Ecosystem at Université Laval: From Clusters to Neurons!
Information
At the heart of Québec City, Université Laval stands among Canada’s leading research universities, where it is building a unique ecosystem to support and accelerate the development of artificial intelligence. In its research mission, this ranges from energy-efficient computing clusters installed on campus and managed in collaboration with industry partners, to the scientific guidance provided by the Institute for Intelligence and Data (IID), our center of expertise in applied AI.
This ecosystem spans the entire continuum: responsible data collection and management, application in scientific and industrial projects, transfer of new knowledge, study of human and societal impacts, and concrete applications (e.g.: health, forestry, agriculture, environment, science and engineering, social sciences and law, education, and smart cities). Advancing knowledge is our role as a university in today’s and tomorrow’s digital society—this is how AI comes to life at Université Laval, from the core of our digital research infrastructure to the neurons of our researchers.
Together, let’s make AI an ethical and responsible force serving research, innovation, and the future of our society. Discover how you can collaborate with Université Laval to advance both your knowledge and your AI projects, and seize the partnership opportunities offered by our ecosystem.
