Information

Today, MRI scanners in the US are idle, not taking images more than 60% of the day, wasting $10B+ in potential revenues annually and delaying patient care. Many deep-tech startups in Radiology focus on image analysis and image biomarkers to improve the radiologist workflow and/or support diagnosis. However, improving the process of acquiring medical images is widely overlooked, largely because the data needed to drive productivity is simply inaccessible.
In this talk I will illustrate how at Quantivly, a spin-off from Boston Children’s Hospital, we focus not just on image data but also on analysis of image *metadata* to improve operations. We have built a platform that unlocks real-time, vendor-agnostic, highly granular information about all MRI examinations performed. Combined with AI, our new abstraction data layer will enable new data intelligence applications including prediction models, decision support systems and smart recommendations, radically transforming the way MRI operation is managed.
