Svar Life Science AB is a trusted partner for the development and application of advanced cell-based assays supporting biopharmaceutical drug development and quality control.

At the core of our offering is the iLite® technology platform, providing ready-to-use reporter cell assays for the measurement of drug activity, potency and neutralizing antibodies. Building on our extensive expertise in cell engineering, we also develop custom reporter cell lines and tailored cell-based assays for specific drug mechanisms and applications.

To ensure long-term assay consistency and reliable supply, Svar provides Master and Working Cell Bank generation, characterization and secure storage, as well as the development and production of frozen, thaw-and-use Assay Ready Cells (ARCs) for robust, standardized and easy-to-transfer assay workflows.

Our assay development services span the complete lifecycle—from early fit-for-purpose and proof-of-concept studies by our R&D team through assay optimization, qualification and full GMP assay development and validation. Validated assays can subsequently be used by Svar for GMP sample testing, including stability studies and routine batch-release potency testing, or transferred to the customer or their designated testing laboratory.

This integrated approach combines cell line development, secure cell banking, assay-ready cell production and regulated bioanalysis within a single platform, supporting customers from early development through commercial-stage testing.
