Symposium Goal:
This educational symposium will highlight foundational and translational urologic research, focusing on the mechanisms that drive disease understanding and therapeutic innovation. Through expert-led presentations and moderated panel discussions, participants will examine how basic scientific discoveries are advanced along the translational pathway toward clinical relevance and improved patient outcomes in urology.
Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this course, the participants will be able to:
1. Evaluate and integrate emerging and recently developed therapies based on current research advances into the clinical management of common non-malignant urologic diseases in areas where significant knowledge gaps persist.
2. Identify and analyze gaps in optimal clinical care for urologic conditions associated with bladder contractility dysfunction, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and comorbidity-related genitourinary disorders, and apply this analysis to inform innovation and future research efforts.
3. Synthesize and apply current and emerging research findings across basic, translational, and clinical domains to inform clinical practice, advance innovation, and support improvements in care delivery.
