Presentation Goal: PSA kinetics and prostate cancer screening in men status post holmium enucleation of the prostate is somewhat unchartered territory in Urology as a whole. In order to follow these men well and ensure they are getting the proper screening and follow up tests, one must understand PSA kinetics after HoLEP and when to proceed with further testing. The goal of this presentation is to share my insights/clinical cases of men who have developed prostate cancer after negative HoLEP pathology and how they can apply these insights into their practice.
Presentation Description: This will be a case based presentation on patients status post HoLEP who have gone on to have continued prostate cancer screening with (slight) rises in PSA that have led to a diagnosis of new prostate cancer after a benign HoLEP pathology report and no prior diagnosis of prostate cancer.
