Course Description:We have run our vasectomy course for many years and will be updating the audience on the new AUA Vasectomy Guideline published in 2025. Faculty includes two authors of the original AUA Guidelines of 2012, who have been running this course, with three new members of the new guidelines committee. This course will be a combination of audience participation key questions and audience response system, and evidence-based data on the updated new concepts in the new guidelines.
Learning Objective 1: Implement the Vasectomy Guidelines into their clinical practice.
Learning Objective 2: “Define the different options for post-vasectomy semen analysis.
Learning Objective 3:Apply the data regarding recommended optimal surgical techniques in vasectomy care
Learning Objective 4: Describe key factos to share with patients regarding complications of vasectomy
Learning Objective 5: Discuss the short-term and long-term risks of vasectomy
Learning Objective 6: Apply standards of care regarding fertility after vasectomy and different options for treatment
Learning Objective 7:Address complicated case histories in vasectomy that may require ethical and legal discussions
Learning Objective 8: Implement the key topics to discuss in a pre operative visit via office or telehealth visit.
