Interdisciplinary artist and designer April Soetarman will go into the in-depth development of The End of the Day, an award-winning interactive narrative that started as a solo RPG and turned into a deeply hopeful public audio installation that can only be played at sunset. Through this case study, audiences will explore how adapting a story across different mediums, from Twine to Zoom to guerrilla physical installation, has its own unique advantages and challenges. This talk will offer insights into finding the “right” form for your interactive story through experimentation and iteration.
