Texas Tribal Buffalo Project

We’re adding a new practice to our customary Land Acknowledgement, beginning with this 2024 Spring Convening: Whenever TFN holds in-person event, we will make a donation to a local Indigenous tribe or Indigenous-led organization. For this convening, we are donating $1,000 to the Texas Tribal Buffalo Project. This nonprofit works to restore the traditional relationship between the Lipan Apache and the native Bison, providing the Indigenous communities of Texas a pathway to tribal and food sovereignty.
