A combat veteran with 16 years in the military, she later joined Microsoft, advocating for veterans and the LGBTQIA+ community. Her interests span art, gaming, film and bodybuilding. In leisure, she aquascapes and creates documentaries. Chris Douglas and Beth Arnold, Xbox Game Studios Game Camp co-leads Thursday, 9/28 – 9 am to 10 am PST “Xbox Game Studios Game Camp: how to empower game creators” At Xbox Game Studios Game Camp, we empower future creators by providing them with access to our tools, resources, and network of subject matter experts to create a diverse community of inclusion for a new generation of game creators. Christopher is a 9-year Microsoft veteran who has spent the last 3 years as Business Program Manager at Xbox Game Studios. He’s passionate about providing access, awareness and skilling for gaming to communities of color and women. Beth Arnold is a Business Program Manager for Xbox Game Studios and has worked at Microsoft for 31 years, 24 in the games space. Her focus is talent management, social impact and helping people discover the best versions of themselves. Fanny Vadillo Herrera, Principal Software Engineer Manager, Mojang Studios Friday, 9/29 – 9 am to 10 am PST “Battling aliens, zombies, and Creepers: Or how to make that possible” Let’s chat about QA, game software development and growing to become a manager. Fanny Vadillo Herrera has been working in the videogames industry for 11 years. She started as part of the Quality team working on titles such as Gears of War. Fanny then worked on tools for titles like Sunset Overdrive. In 2015, she moved to work as a developer for the Minecraft team. Currently, she’s the manager in charge of Minecraft's gameplay systems.
