Frankfurt Airport (FRA) is Germany’s largest airport
and one of the most important aviation hubs in the world. Frankfurt Airport not
only serves as Germany’s gateway to the world, it is a vital economic motor for
the region and country as well as a highly attractive real estate location for
internationally-oriented service and logistics industries. It features Europe’s
greatest catchment area within a 200-km radius of the airport -- nearly half
the nation’s population.
“Safe travel” during the ongoing pandemic continues to
be possible via Frankfurt Airport. This has been reconfirmed by TÜV Hesse,
which recently extended FRA’s “Safe from Covid-19” quality seal for another six

Based on our experience of past crises, we are
confident that the volume of air traffic in Germany will resume growing over
the long term. Therefore, we are forging ahead with our long-term expansion
projects, one of which is the new Terminal 3.
