With 15 years of experience as a market systems development practitioner, John Rachkara has worked across thin and large markets, including labour, commodity, service, rural, and urban markets in both stable and conflict-affected regions. His expertise spans agricultural and non-agricultural sectors, where he has led strategic initiatives requiring systems thinking, collaborated with diverse stakeholders, and driven impactful change in East and West Africa. Currently Chief of Party of the USAID-funded Nigeria Rural Resilience Activity, John focuses on catalysing sustainable and transformative socio-economic change, addressing inequities, and overcoming market failures.
