Nicola Eriksson Fackel is a business economist with over 20 years of experience developing micro, small and medium enterprises, including her own. Her experiences are from health, agribusiness, the creative industries, e-commerce and tourism. She has worked in Sweden, Zambia, Congo and now Ethiopia. Her experiences are often from challenging environments that are remote, underfinanced and macroeconomically challenged. Her current position as senior programme manager at the Swedish Embassy in Addis supports a portfolio promoting inclusive economic growth in Ethiopia, including women’s economic empowerment, and private sector development.
