About me
Menan Omar is an Operations Officer at the International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group with thirteen years of professional experience in private sector development and analytical research. Her current reform advisory portfolio focuses on areas related to industrial decarbonization, entrepreneurship policy and tourism market development in Africa and the Middle East. Prior to that, she worked as Economic Researcher at governmental, multi-lateral and academic institutions that include the Egyptian Ministry of Industry and Transport (formerly, the Ministry of Trade and Industry), the United Nations Development Program, the International Labor Organization and the American University in Cairo where she has developed analytical research on a variety of policy issues including economic development, environmental sustainability and corporate social responsibility. She holds a Dual Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University and the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the American University in Cairo.
