Siddharth is a development practitioner who is passionate about unlocking more resources for underserved sectors and playing the role of a convener by building meaningful collaborations between funders, NGOs, and ecosystem enablers to create systemic change. He is currently the Foundation Lead at Upadhyaya Foundation, a family philanthropy focused on enabling long-term impact in the sectors of animal welfare, disability, and arts and culture in India. He leads the foundation's vision, strategy, and partnerships, while working closely with the promoters of the family to deepen their philanthropic journey.
Siddharth's journey into the social sector was shaped by his early career at Stryker, a Fortune 500 medical device company, where he launched their orthopedic implant segment in India. Alongside this, his volunteer work with Make A Difference (MAD) gave him an experience that offered a first-hand view into the challenges faced by vulnerable children in shelter homes. This exposure deeply moved him and ultimately prompting a full-time shift into the development sector. As MAD's Director of Operations, he led programs across 16 states, impacting over 3,500 children.
He went on to work at Dasra, a leading strategic philanthropy organization, contributing to large-scale collaboratives focused on adolescent health and well-being. Siddharth also co-founded Evolverance, a social impact consultancy that provides pro bono support to grassroots nonprofits.
He holds a degree in Life Sciences from Delhi University and an MBA from Coventry University, UK. Outside of work, Siddharth finds joy in music, sports, travel, food, and non-fiction books.
