Information

Grammy-nominee Uncle Jumbo’s “One Big Family” features uplifting songs that get audiences moving together and inspire young people to dream big, care for one another, and celebrate what makes them unique.

This concert works for families as well as student matinees, because the music isn’t just educational, it’s good: A mix of soul, funk, R&B, and more, with heartfelt lyrics and catchy hooks form infectious grooves, so the songs and messages of positivity live on in your head long after the show is done. An interactive show with constant dance-alongs, Uncle Jumbo teaches corresponding choreography that is accessible to everyone: Multigenerational audiences will leave energized and self-empowers, after spreading their wings, transforming from a caterpillar into a butterfly, planting a family tree, and shaking off criticism like glitter off paper – all from their seats. Touring with a flexible technical footprint, the show can happen outdoors, at festivals, and in a variety of indoor venues, from Theatres to libraries, schools, and community spaces.

About Uncle Jumbo

Texas-born Uncle Jumbo got his start as a four year old, playing accordion with Zydeco bands, and now creates heartfelt, uniting and jammin’ music for children.
