Virtual Fireside Chat with Peter Singer
Information
Join us for a special fireside chat with Peter Singer, joining virtually, in a conversation about the ethical stakes of emerging technologies and what they could mean for non-humans. Peter was the very first person to host this event back in 2022, and he was also one of the earliest thinkers to seriously raise the question of how AI could affect non-humans, helping shape the conversation long before it became mainstream.
This session will be interviewed by Robin Larson, a member of the technical staff at Anthropic. There will be time for audience Q&A. Submit your questions for Peter in the Swapcard app.

About Robin Larson
Robin describes himself as a farm boy from the midwest who thinks we can use AI to smash open the doors to paradise for all creatures. Being both an IT security nerd and vegan for almost all of his adult life got him excited about Effective Altruism. He was the first full-timer hired for Anthropic’s Security department, founding the IT team and running it for the explosive year they went from having no product to having the most advanced AI model in the world. Robin now explores how we can utilize Claude for IT security, while spending his free time researching effective giving and the future of animal welfare.
