Pushing the boundaries of single-cell omics to probe plant development in space and time: Chair Welcome
Sunday, June 23, 2024 3:45 PM to 3:50 PM · 5 min. (US/Hawaii)
Meeting Room 311
Genes and Genomes
Information
Single-cell RNA-seq offers unprecedented insight into plant development, enabling gene expression profiling at extraordinary scale and resolution. However, it lacks the ability to capture dynamic changes or spatial context. This session addresses these limitations, integrating time series analysis, spatial transcriptomics, and live imaging to connect gene expression with cell behavior and position. We'll discuss the latest research, computational methods for enhanced analysis, and innovations making these techniques more accessible to the plant research community.
