The introduction of genomic medicine in the NHS created a platform to address the unmet clinical and healthcare needs of individuals with common and rare diseases. This talk focuses on how genomics is transforming the delivery of healthcare from diagnostics through therapeutics to optimise precision medicine. We will also discuss how we can support the nursing workforce and equip them with the knowledge and skills to maximise genomics within patient pathways to achieve the best outcomes for patients.
