Dear Delegates,
On behalf of everyone at Nursing Times, welcome to Nursing Times Careers Live London & South, our third and final virtual careers fair of the year.
Just like our physical events, the day is all about helping you make the next step on your career journey and is designed to make it easy for you to meet potential new employers.
Through our virtual events platform, you will be able to connect with exhibitors, arrange interviews and watch back anything on the programme that you missed.
You will have the chance to ask exhibitors about what it is like to work at their organisation, the training and development opportunities, and what the local area is like – but all from the comfort of your own home.
As well as the opportunity of ending the day with a new job, you will have the opportunity to be inspired by our guest speakers, many of whom today touch on mental health and wellbeing issues.
Hope Virgo, author of Stand Tall Little Girl, a multi award winning international advocate for people with eating disorders, will be talking first about managing your mental health and workplace wellbeing. Then later on, former Nursing Times student editor Lucy Gladden will explore what resilience means and how students can develop it and prioritise their own self-care. 
In addition, Stephanie Jones, from Swansea University, will discuss imposter syndrome and offer solutions to overcome it and how to build your confidence to achieve your career potential. 
Adapting to the ‘new normal’, in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, and making the most of your career is the subject of our session with Rhoda Redulla, Magnet program director at a major US healthcare provider in New York. 
There will also be a session by independent sector provider HCA Healthcare, one of our event’s main sponsors, on what it is like to work there and the opportunities and support available.  
For those at the start of their nursing journey, our live student reception will give you the opportunity to discuss key topics such as placements and preceptorships. Our special guest is Holly Veness, a recently qualified staff nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust and a former Nursing Times student editor. 
After each presentation, you will have the opportunity to take part in a live question and answer session with the speaker.
