Flower Queans

Selected XR Development Market

Information

Flower Queans is a film performance that uses dance, puppetry and virtual reality to explore nature, culture, gender, identity, sexuality and technology. The performers control virtual flower avatars in a projected world that changes with their movements. The flowers symbolise the diversity and beauty of nature as well as the challenges and opportunities of living in a digital age. The performance is created in collaboration with Sydney Dance Company using advanced tools that allow me to create the virtual world from my computer using AI models that react to the performers’ actions. Flower Queans is a film futurism project that challenges conventional film practices and invites audiences to imagine new possibilities for storytelling and expression. Flower Queans will be captured for VR and AR to offer a mixed reality experience for audiences worldwide
