Deep Truth

Selected XR Development Market

Information

DEEP TRUTH is an interactive art installation that shows how your face shifts color with how your heart beats.

In the installation you will enter a dark space and face a camera and projected on a wall you will see yourself and how your face shifts color, you will hear how your heart beats, if someone walks up next to you, you will see their and hear how their heart beats.

With the artwork I want to give you the experience to contemplate on how you connect with others and feel what it feels to be able to see the heart rate of you and others.

Based on the technology of remote photoplethysmography. A technology that makes it possible for a camera and computer to analyse a persons' heart rate from a video image in real time. The data from the heart rate can then be used to change the color of a face video filter or control the sound and lights of a space.

The technology is also applied as a video filter for social media where the user can share their video or be used as a filter for video-calls.
