Cataloging with the Homosaurus: Who, What, When, Why, & How

In this presentation, Jay L. Colbert will give an introduction to using the Homosaurus, an international LGBTQ linked data vocabulary. Attendees will learn how to apply subject headings from this vocabulary to library materials. In particular, this workshop will focus on terms relating to sexual orientation, romantic orientation, and gender identity, as well as slang words with other common meanings. Jay will also touch on outdated or offensive terms and when to apply them.
