Renovations in Progress: Historic New England Town Saves its Library

Leaders from Abbot Public Library will share the story of how the coastal Town of Marblehead, Massachusetts embraced a campaign to form a public/ private funding partnership in the effort to provide their 17th Century Town with a 21st Century Library. In addition to receiving an updated infrastructure, newly designed interior and exterior spaces will be more inclusive and adaptive for an array of programming and technological access for all community members. This presentation also focuses on how libraries need to change to adapt to their communities, offering appropriate spaces for gathering and reviewing strategic goals and policies to accommodate equity, diversity and inclusion.
