Information
This BoF session aims to facilitate discussions on European Pre-Exascale HPC demonstrators around the technologies derived from the European Processor Initiative (EPI), and to foster community interest in these projects. The session will start with a concise 15-minute presentation, offering a brief overview of current efforts and providing insights into projects such as EPI, EUPILOT, and EUPEX to start up the discussion.
EPI aims to design and implement a roadmap for a new family of low-power European processors for extreme scale computing, high-performance Big-Data and a range of emerging applications.
EUPILOT will deliver the first All-European open source and open standard based software and hardware integrated HPC system by creating an autonomous set of accelerators designed, implemented, manufactured, and deployed in Europe.
EUPEX’s ambition is to support actively the European industrial ecosystem around HPC, as well as to prepare applications and users to efficiently exploit future European exascale supercomputers.
The Q&A and open discussion sessions featuring representatives from all three projects will follow the presentation and it will delve into insights, challenges, and achievements in their efforts.
