European HPC Ecosystem - Updates and Gap Analysis

In recent years, the European HPC ecosystem has undergone profound changes. EuroHPC JU a joint initiative between the EU, European countries and private partners to develop a World Class Supercomputing Ecosystem in Europe was created. PRACE is in the process of transforming itself into a European HPC User and Centre Association. The objective of this BoF is to give an overview of the current state of European HPC activities. We will give an overview of ongoing and planned European HPC projects (e.g. CASTIEL-2, EuroCC-2, Inno4scale, HPCTRAIN, SPECTRA and many more) and initiatives, e.g. EPI, ETP4HPC and others. We will present and discuss with the different European HPC stakeholders the current state of play, future plans, challenges and analyse critically the European HPC offers and services.
