Experience in promoting HPC in LATAM with the RISC2 Project

The talk will review the experience with the EU supported RISC2 Project to promote HPC activities in LATAM and foster closer cooperation between the European and LATAM HPC community. One of the accomplishments was to create closer links between scientists and policymakers on both sides of the Atlantic. For this, the project was acknowledged in 2022 by HPCWire with the Editor's Choice Award as the Best HPC Collaboration between Academia, Government, and Industry. The talk will cover further follow-up activities after the formal end of the project.
