Livermore Computing (LC), Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory's (LLNL's) supercomputing center, and HPE will deploy the first US exascale system focused on national security in 2023. This talk will provide an overview of the El Capitan system architecture, including the system's focal point, the AMD MI300A APU, as well as the Rabbit modules that form its novel near-node local storage (NNLS) solution.
