MareNostrum 5, a EuroHPC pre-exascale system at Barcelona Supercomputing Center

MareNostrum5 is the new HPC system at Barcelona Supercomputing Center, and one of the three pre-exascale system of EuroHPC-JU. With a contract signed last July 2022, the system is expected to be available to users in 2023, mixing different technologies including General Purpose Processors, accelerated nodes, pre and post processing nodes, a large storage complemented with a tape archive system. The talk will describe system components, Data Center preparation, and how to get access to the system, including early access. It is not installed in the Chapel, but the new facility is amazing as well, and the Chapel will be updated to host two Quantum systems.
