hpc.bw: Competence Platform for Software Efficiency and Supercomputing
Tuesday, May 31, 2022 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM · 9 hr. 30 min. (Europe/Berlin)
Foyer 3 + H - Ground Floor
Information
The aim of the project hpc.bw is to strengthen innovative cross-location HPC research at the Universities of the Armed Forces and to foster the transfer of HPC know-how into the various disciplines in order to (1) sustainably strengthen research and development in the respective disciplines, (2) promote interdisciplinary exchange between HPC-related problems, and (3) to explore and answer new HPC research questions from discipline-specific problem settings.
On this poster, we summarize our project partners, goals and milestones and focus on our work-in-progress to create a building block-based system for HPC competence activities. Taking into consideration four categories--target group, HPC competence areas, learning-teaching formats and an actual implementation form of the activity--we aim to build a modularized competence platform and reach out to a wide range of (potential) HPC user groups at our universities. The building block concept is underpinned by three relevant examples.
